Get your data in order

As a former data manager, Marloes shared her knowledge on organizing data sets during the last meeting of the PhD-Platform, a network of PhD candidates at Leiden University.

The PhD platform
is a network of all PhD candidates of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. They organize meetings to discuss common issues and share knowledge about life as a PhD candidate. During the meeting on April 21st the group discussed data-management: requirements and good reasons for planning your data management at an early stage. Funders, publishers and the university increasingly set conditions for secure storage and availability of research data.
Fieke Schoots and Sander Nieuwenhuis discussed why data-management is so important. As a former data-manager and current PhD candidate, Marloes van Moort further discussed how we can manage our data.
