Making science literature more available

‘Kenniscentrum Begrijpend Lezen’ is a Dutch initiative with the aim to bring research and practice closer together. An example of their work is to translate scientific articles into easy-to-read Dutch. The article “Using texts in science education: Cognitive processes and knowledge representation” by Prof. Paul van den Broek (2010) was recently translated.

‘Kenniscentrum Begrijpend Lezen’ (Knowledge Center for Reading Comprehension) is a collaboration between  the CED-group, Sardes and Leiden University collaborates. They gather existing knowledge on reading comprehension and also gather own research data. These are presented during conferences which are being organized by the Kenniscentrum Begrijpend Lezen.
